ONE WINTER’S NIGHT 2017
The second One Winter’s Night charity concert took place at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on Friday 14th January 2017. It was produced by GT Live Sessions and sponsored, for the first time, by KP Snacks Ltd. The sound was directed by Joshua Robins and his team from Robins Audio, and the lighting was designed by the magical John Harris. The event raised £6,000 for the two chosen charities - Disability Challengers, and Onslow Ward (Oncology Unit) at The Royal Surrey County Hospital. The raffle was match-funded by Santander UK, and One Winter’s Night 2017 was hosted by Gavin Thomas.

“A spectacular fundraiser showcasing local musical talent has raised more than £6,000 for two Guildford charities. One Winter's Night is an annual event staged by GT Live Sessions, and it once again sold out the auditorium at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. The event is organised and hosted by Guildford musician and promoter Gavin Thomas, raising money this year for the cancer ward at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, and the independent children's charity Challengers.
"It was an honour to be invited back by Jamie Barber, the theatre Director at the Yvonne Arnaud, and we knew we had to build on the success of last year's wonderful concert," Mr Thomas said.
"I was thrilled to get sponsorship this year from the team at KP Snacks Ltd, and this enabled us to donate 100% of everything we made from ticket sales directly to our two amazing local causes. We had ten outstanding acts performing through the evening, and the atmosphere in the packed theatre was truly extraordinary. I'd like to thank everyone who helped support the event - it's a wonderful feeling to be able to promote local live music on a proper stage in our gorgeous local theatre, and make thousands of pounds for local charities at the same time."
Gavin will be back with his charity music festival "One Summer's Day" in July, and GT Live Sessions are already planning the next One Winter's Night event for January 2018.”
