“On the 10th January 2016 the world lost one of its true angels … a genius innovator, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, and one of my life-long heroes. After hearing the heart-breaking news of David Bowie’s untimely passing, I wanted to try to organise some sort of musical tribute, and I posted an invitation on Facebook to the local music community, to see if anyone would be interested in getting involved. After a crazy couple of weeks of organising, fifty local musicians and a huge audience descended on The White House (High Street, Guildford), and we had ourselves one mighty celebration of the man’s life, and his music. “ Gavin Thomas - March 2016
